Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is "a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder commonly caused by abnormalities in the perception or expression of reality." If diagnosed with schizophrenia, symptoms normally occur in one’s young adulthood with an estimated 0.4–0.6% of the American population affected. The doctor might then base proper evidence of diagnosing the patient by observing his or her behavior but no laboratory test for schizophrenia currently exists.
